Pratik Pradhan, a native of Sikkim, has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the state’s first fighter jet pilot officer. His journey began with securing the 7th rank in the Army officer examination through NCC direct entry on an all-India merit basis in 2022. Following training as an Army officer in Chennai, Pratik successfully cleared the competitive examination for an Air Force flying officer during a subsequent 3-month period. He went on to complete a rigorous 15-month training course at the Indian Airforce Academy in Hyderabad, graduating on 15th June 2024. Now commissioned as a Fighter Jet Pilot officer, Pratik Pradhan’s achievement marks a moment of pride for Sikkim.
